Brent Curtice is a Western Colorado fly fishing monument. He has over 18 years of guiding experience on the Gunnison River, and is the head instructor for many of our local fly fishing school programs.

One of Brent's favorite guiding locations is the famous Z bar X ranch located at the base of the Ragged Mountains above the North Fork of the Gunnison River. The Z bar X is one of the most scenic high country ranches in Colorado, and boasts over a dozen small lakes with some of the largest trout in the state. Abundant insect life makes for some diverse fishing tactics. Brent's clients will often fish with dry flies, streamers and nymphs all in the same day.

Brent is also an accomplished fly tyer who ties and teaches at seminars throughout the Rocky Mountains. His patterns have been featured in several fly fishing publications, and he co-authored the book "Patterns of the Masters."
