Fishing for Striped Bass on a fly rod can be considered one of the ultimate fresh water challenges for the fly fisher. Striped Bass are strong fish with endurance to give a long and exciting fight. Catch one 10 pound plus fish on a medium weight fly rod and you will have an experience you will long remember.

Having fished seriously for over 40 years, I find my greatest enjoyment guiding fly rodders for bass. The experience I have gained over the years from competing in bass tournaments to guiding on the Central Texas lakes has helped me refine the techniques necessary to catch Striped Bass on the fly. We have developed fly patterns that have proven effective on stripers under varying water conditions and seasons of the year.

We catch Largemouth and Smallmouth Black Bass, Stripers, various panfish, and other local species. Smallmouth Black Bass fishing is excellent on Lake Whitney. The state record came from Lake Whitney and I'd love for one of my clients to break that record on a fly rod.
