Chad Luce was born and raised in Melbourne, Florida, and learned to fly fish at a very young age. He has since fished from Alaska to Costa Rica, and now spends much of his year guiding at Elk Creek Lodge. Chad fishes the magnificent waters of the White River, Coal Creek, Elk Creek, Trapper's Lake, and a host of other high country streams and lakes. Through years of hard work, Chad has ascended to the position of head guide on these fabled waters.

In the early spring, Chad takes his trout fishing clients back home to Florida with him to fish the Mosquito Lagoon and Indian River systems. This part of Florida holds phenomenal fishing opportunities. Redfish, seatrout, snook, tarpon, jacks of all kinds, and ladyfish are a few of the local favorites, and Chad has been pursuing them since childhood.

Chad's humble nature and sincere interest in teaching make him a first rate instructor in both fresh and salt waters. It's no surprise that clients follow him from the mountains to the sea, and then back to the mountains…
