The great "Masa" is the single biggest "Scott-Head" in the known world. Masa has been a possessed and passionate supporter of the Scott company for almost twenty years, and has introduced more people to Scott rods than any private citizen in the history of our company. Masa is a well known exhibition fly tyer in his home country of Japan, and writes columns for Fly Tyer magazine about every element of the sport. He devotes all of his spare time and energy to fly fishing, and to introducing friends to his favorite activity.

Masa spends every free day pursuing the local Yamame, and makes at least three trips each year to the United States to fish his favorite trout streams: the Henry's Fork and the Dolores.

Masa knows as much about Scott fly rods as our own employees, and teaches people about rod design as he teaches them to fish and tie flies. He has great insight on the applications of different rods, and uses his knowledge in his fishing and instruction. Masa is a wonderful resource for fellow anglers. He enjoys talking with other fishermen about equipment and loves to help friends choose the perfect Scott rod for their fishing.
