Captain O'Bannon has been guiding in the Boca Grande area for the past 29 years. In fact, he was one of the first fly fishing guides to fish this incredible area. Since 1985, O'Bannon's clients have landed over 1300 tarpon on the fly, and his knowledge of this region is unsurpassed by any angler.

Each July, Phil escapes the heat of Florida and heads for the cooler waters of Montana. Here he guides on a number of different river systems for trout. During the winter months Phil is the captain of a private yacht and fishes throughout Florida and the Bahamas.

O'Bannon swears by the STS series for the giant tarpon that cruise the beaches of Boca Grande in the springtime. In the summer season, Phil uses STS trout rods for fishing the windy Montana waters.
