Shane's patterns have been displayed in numerous publications and have also been shared in his series of fly tying videos. Most of his quality fly tying materials are distributed through Hareline Dubbin and he is now a fly designer for Solitude Fly Co.

Stalcup is an institution in the Rocky Mountains. He ties at the major seasonal fly fishing shows and may be found throughout the year doing clinics and demos at local events. Shane is equally capable with the fly rod. He's a master trout angler who's diverse talents take him all over the world to fish. He specializes in cracking tough insect hatches. In Colorado, his amazing flies are considered a "secret weapon" for those who either replicate his lifelike imitations or purchase them at their local flyshop. In recent years, Stalcup has also mastered the art of fly fishing for bass, an increasingly popular diversion for trout saturated anglers.
