ARC STEELHEAD & SALMON
ARC 1007/4
Brian O'Keefe maintains that the ARC 1007/4 is the best West Coast
steelhead rod available. The 10' length has become standard among serious steelheaders, because the extra length provides measurably greater
line mending, fly steering, and roll casting ability. A 7-weight is sufficient for most dry line fishing in the lower 48, and this rod maintains
the responsiveness of a trout rod despite its 10' length. ARC 1007/4 has also become one of our most popular rods in the Great Lakes region,
where high-sticking with small nymphs requires a long, progressive action fly rod.
