Mario Wojnicki builds some of the most coveted split cane fly rods in the world. In eleven years with Scott, Wojnicki has earned his
reputation as one of the most skilled of all modern bamboo rod makers. Scott cane rods are stunning works of art. By hand, Wojnicki splits,
flames and planes the culms of bamboo. He lathes and polishes his own reel seat inserts from fine hardwoods, and crafts fittings from nickel
silver. Guides are flawlessly wrapped in classic translucent silk thread, and uniquely shaped cork grips are hand-sanded to perfection.
| Scott offers three distinct bamboo rod designs. Six-sided models have a traditional moderate cane action. "Glass Ferrule" models are six-sided rods fit with a special fiberglass ferrule rather than blued nickel silver. Five-sided models are more hollow, and have a medium-fast action with a lighter feel. Cosmetic options vary with rod type, so please inquire about individual models. |  |
