SES 908/3 is among our best all around light saltwater rods. SES 908/3 has a little more range than HP 888/3, but is more forgiving than STS 908/3. If you prefer a 9' rod, but do not have an extra-powerful casting stroke, this is the rod for you. We recommend SES 908/3 for all light saltwater species, including bonefish, striped bass, redfish, snook, and bluefish. This is also an excellent largemouth bass rod.
| Performance Characteristics | |

| SES 908/3: When searching for reds on the flats, this rod is my first choice. The ability to load this rod for a short cast is what makes it so special whether the fish is at 80 feet or 25 feet, this rod can put the fly where it needs to be. | ![]() |
