| SCOTT HELIPLY SALTWATER RODS |

Heliply Series rods are Scott's easiest casting, most durable saltwater fly rods. Their 8'8" length makes them balance lighter in the hand than a 9' rod and slice
through the wind with less resistance. This allows us to make the rods more forgiving without sacrificing castability on windy days. The result - most anglers access power
more easily in the Heliplys than in other saltwater fly rods. The 14 and 15-weight Bluewater models are built from a composite of graphite and fiberglass. These are the most
durable big game fly rods in the world, and among the easiest to cast.
| High Performance Features | |
| 1) | Heliplys reduce false casting, because the forgiving rod tips flex under the weight of their designated lines. |
| 2) | Strong mid and butt sections drive large flies into heavy winds. |
| 3) | The 8'8" length minimizes swing weight and maximizes accuracy. We recommend Heliplys for fishing mangrove structure and making quick, accurate casts. |
| 4) | Fast actions and Heliply reinforcements allow the angler to set the hook aggressively and lift heavy fish from deep water or cover. The 8'8" Heliplys
are more efficient levers than 9' fly rods. |
| 5) | Bluewater models have extra-stout butt sections and fiberglass reinforcements for lifting tuna, marlin and giant sharks from their sounding runs. |
| Jim Bartschi designed the Heliply Series with the help of Chico Fernandez and Brian O'Keefe. Chico wanted a saltwater rod that would make accurate casts with the ease of a trout rod. O'Keefe wanted a durable rod that he could take with him to the most remote corners of the earth. In places such as the Bikini Atoll, the Seychelle Islands and the remote Carribean, if your rod breaks, your trip could be over. |

| Heliplys are widely known for their durability. The secret lies in the Heliply layup, a design that combines high modulus unidirectional graphite with a layer of helically oriented fibers. The "Heliply" reinforcement prevents breakage by maintaining the blank's hoop shape while under extreme load. (Fly rods normally break on the compression side as the blank tube is forced out of its round shape.) This design also provides maximum tracking stability for casting and cross-sectional control for lifting heavy fish from beneath the boat. |
