New for 2000
The G 653/3 combines the short distance casting accuracy of the Fibertouch Series with the extra-light feel of our traditional graphite G-Series. This rod was first introduced in Japan for yamame fishing, which involves sneaking around on hands and knees, crawling over mountain stream boulders, and protecting delicate tippets against fish that shake their heads faster than any trout. The G 653/3 has quickly become our most popular small stream fly rod in Japan. Small stream specialists world wide will love this incredible little rod.
