This is our most popular short dry fly rod. The G 753/3 is actually 7' 7" (8" longer than the G 703/3), and the extra length provides versatility. The G 753/3 casts a variety of fly sizes and leader lengths, and has terrific feel and balance on all short and medium length casts. We recommend a longer rod for light nymphing, but for pure, sweet and simple dry fly fishing, this rod is untouchable. G 753/3 is an outstanding high country small stream backpacking rod.

| G 753/3: The G 753/3 is long enough to fish dry flies on large western trout streams, but short enough to fish the small streams of the east. I use it mostly for panfish and small largemouth, and it delivers #10 poppers effectively and accurately the same way it delivers a #14 elk hair caddis to rising trout. | ![]() |
