The "long" 3-weights in the G-Series are among our signature Scott fly rods. G 843/5 is slightly quicker than the languid G 883/3, and packs into a 23" case. This rod is an exceptional long leader dry fly rod, and is quite capable of casting and mending light nymph rigs. For those who prefer a slower action rod for delicate presentations, this is a superb fishing tool. G 843/5 is a perfect pack rod for high country trout streams.
