This is a special rod for delicate, long leader dry fly presentations. On a calm day, this rod will lay 16' leaders with size 26 midges over the most wary trout without spooking them. Line mending and open loop slack line casts are its specialty. The G 882/3 is a favorite among tailwater dry fly anglers, and has duped countless tough fish on the San Juan, Big Horn, Frying Pan, Silver Creek, and other notoriously difficult streams. This rod also has a substantial following on the traditional dry fly streams of New York and Pennsylvania.
