We highly recommend this rod for streamer fishing, whether on your favorite trout water or local bass pond. Simply put, the G 886/3 is one of our best casting fly rods. It lacks the length to be a great high-stick nymphing rod, but for balance and castability, it can't be beat. The G 886/3 is great from a driftboat or canoe, and equally effective with bushy dry flies or a weighted streamer. G 886/3 loves casting to structure.
