If you backpack often, choose either this rod or the SAS 905/5 over the SAS 905. This rod can do anything on a trout stream. It is a light, crisp caster and is long enough to provide terrific line control. SAS 905/3 is equally capable with nymphs and streamers as with dry flies, and is excellent from a float tube. SAS 905/3 is also a solid smallmouth rod.
