The STS 804/4 is an excellent tight loop dry fly rod for anglers who prefer the fast action style of the Tactical Series. An 8' rod is just right for high country streams, and this fast action 4-weight has plenty of power for making longer casts on small alpine lakes. If you really specialize in lakes, choose a 9' rod instead, but the STS 804/4 is a better all around choice for the high country due to its versatility on small streams.
