STS 905
This is our best selling STS freshwater model due to its extreme versatility. Fast action 5-weights are popular rods, but this particular rod has some advantages over the others. Most importantly, the internal ferrule keeps this rod smooth through the midsection, which helps with roll casting and line mending. This is a fantastic long casting 5-weight, and is just as popular for lake fishing as it is on big rivers. STS 905 is a great all-around fly rod for aggressive techniques: casting stoneflies and grasshoppers, streamers, and nymphing with a strike indicator.
