TACTICAL SERIES FRESHWATER
STS 906/4
If you travel a lot or backpack into deep canyon rivers and alpine lakes, we recommend the 4-piece version of the STS 906. This is probably our best all-around streamer rod. STS 906/4 is unusually light weight, and can cast a weight-forward line with a heavy streamer as far as you ever dreamed. This is also an excellent nymphing rod and general purpose big trout rod. If you have a bass pond in your back yard, don't hesitate to tie on a hairy, wind resistant bass bug and pound the cattails. In the opinion of many, STS 906/4 is one of the best casting rods in the Tactical Series. If you're looking for a light saltwater rod, choose the STS 906/3 instead of this model for its saltwater components and more powerful butt section.
