TACTICAL SERIES FRESHWATER
STS 955
We designed this rod specifically for float tube anglers. STS 955 is long and quick, and can make extra long casts with a weight forward 5-weight line. Float tubers will appreciate the extra length, which also comes in handy for high-stick nymphing techniques on your favorite big-water trout stream. This is an extremely lightweight fly rod, and a potent fishing tool for all aggressive trout fishing situations.

| The STS 955 provides a smooth, subtle delivery with long leaders and small dry flies, yet throws a weighted stonefly pattern with authority. When I enter casting competitions or teach classes, the STS 955 consistently throws the perfect loop. The STS is my stealth rod, quiet but extremely accurate. I use this rod throughout the hot summer months, where presentation is the key to success. STS 955 might also be Scott's best float tube rod. The extra length really helps me make longer casts when I'm kicking around a high country lake. | ![]() |
