Born and raised in Islamorada, FL Captain Brewer has fished the complex waters of the middle Keys since childhood. A superb caster, angler, and guide, Brewer thrives on the diversity of fly fishing opportunities available on these rich flats. He fishes for tarpon, permit, bonefish, snook and redfish on a daily basis, and has won three championships in the Redbone tournament series. Craig is one of the core instructors in Sandy Moret's Florida Keys Outfitters Fly Fishing Schools and is widely regarded as one of the most experienced and knowledgeable fly fishing guides in all of Florida. On April 15th, 1999, Captain Brewer guided angler Eddie Miller to a 15 lbs. 5 oz. world record bonefish (on a Scott STS 908/3).
Captain Brewer has developed a guiding style that reflects his roots as a Keys native. Brewer teaches his clients about the fragile Keys ecosystem, and to respect both the fish and their habitat. "I want visitors to the area to have the whole experience. I want to show them what's kept me here for 35 years. It might be the sight of mudding bonefish, watching a 100 pound tarpon open its mouth and suck a fly, the birds and wildlife that inhabit the Florida Bay, or the expansive sunrise over the Atlantic."
