Captain Chris Jop developed his reputation as a world class saltwater angler in the Northeast fishery, and now guides from Rhode Island Sound to Florida to Cabo San Lucas. Chris is a personable instructor with a background in fisheries science. He guides from customized fly fishing boats, uses nothing but Scott fly rods, and offers support instruction from fly casting to saltwater fly tying.

As a young boy, Chris fly fished the lakes, rivers and streams of Poland. This was the beginning of what has become a life long passion and in more recent years, a successful inshore and offshore guiding profession.

Both for pleasure and as a professional guide, Chris has fished extensively throughout Europe, the United States and Central America. His guiding company, "Come Fly with Me Fishing Charters," focuses primarily on sight fishing for striped bass and bluefish on the flats around the Monomoy Islands, which are located at the southeastern corner of Cape Cod, Massachusetts. These islands are surrounded by eleven square miles of crystal clear sand flats…

Jop is a contributing editor to the popular Reel Time anglers web site and his articles have appeared in numerous saltwater fly fishing magazines. Chris is a regular on the Northeast show circuit, presenting seminars on subjects ranging from tying striper flies to offshore fishing on the Baja California peninsula.

Chris's background as an environmental scientist provides him with a unique understanding for the diversity of and impacts on the ecosystems in which anglers pursue their sport. My clients receive expert instruction in fly fishing techniques as well as useful information on ocean conditions, fish migration, feeding habits and the functioning of the marine ecosystem.
